Costello Tagliapietra’s beautifully draped silk dresses on the long-locked models made them glowing and unearthly; like wood-nymphs that drifted carelessly out of a fantasy.
Opening the show were Masha Tyelna and Anna Gushina in shimmering cocktail dresses nipped at the waist, in a pattern that brought to mind a sun-dappled forest floor created by shafts of sunlight filtered through rustling foliage. Pinned to their crowns were attachments that looked like dried, curled up leaves and twigs.

I love everything about this outfit–the trompe l’oeil fur at the neck, the gorgeous rose petal-shaped skirt with a hint of metallic fringe, the floppy kitty-cat silk ears.

Two prettily draped dresses in the collection. The gloves were a great touch; the models were perfect for their dresses.

And what almost worked: A one-sleeved silver-and-gold glinty dress shorn off mid-thigh. Would have worked if it didn’t look like foil of expensive chocolate. I’m sorry, that was a pretty GoFugYourself comment wasn’t it?
